A full DJ console that runs in your browser: two or four decks, sync, pro effects, stems, DJ controllers, mic and live streaming, with nothing to install.
Open a web page and you have a complete DJ setup: decks, a mixer, studio-grade effects and your DJ controller, ready in seconds on any Windows or Mac computer. Here is what a modern browser DJ console can do, and why it may be the only DJ software you need.
DJing without the setup
For years, DJing on a computer meant big downloads, drivers, licence keys and a powerful laptop. A browser DJ console removes all of that. You open a link, and the decks, mixer and effects are already there.
The Soundoos DJ Console was built on this idea. Everything runs inside Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox, and the sound engine is fast enough for real mixing: tempo changes without changing the key, beat-accurate loops and clean effects. Your own music files never leave your computer.
Everything a real DJ setup has
The console gives you the same core tools as a club setup. Two decks are on screen by default, and one click turns them into four.
- Decks with big waveforms. Coloured waveforms show bass, mids and highs, so you can see the drop coming before you hear it.
- SYNC and beat grid. BPM is found automatically. Press SYNC and the next song locks to the tempo and beat of the one playing. You can fix any grid with TAP and fine nudges.
- Key lock and key matching. Change the tempo without changing the key. Every song shows its musical key on the Camelot wheel, and “Match key” lists only songs that mix well together.
- Hot cues, loops and beat jump. Four hot cues per deck, loops from 1 to 16 beats and jumps of 4 or 16 beats, all locked to the beat.
- A full mixer. Gain, a 3-band EQ with kill, a filter per channel, channel faders and a crossfader with smooth or sharp curves.
- Performance tricks. Reverse (hold to play backwards, then carry on in time), Brake and Spin back, the classic turntable effects.
Club-style effects and stems
The effects follow the layout of the mixers found in most clubs, so the skills you learn here carry over.
- Beat FX. Delay, Echo, Ping pong, Spiral, Reverb, Trans, Flanger, Phaser, Filter and Roll, all timed to the beat. Use them on one channel or on the whole mix.
- Sound Color FX. Turn the COLOR knob of a channel for Space, Dub echo, Sweep, Noise or Crush.
- RMX effects. Scene FX builds a track up or breaks it down with one knob, or automatically over 4 to 32 beats. Isolate cuts or boosts the lows, mids and highs of the whole mix. X-Pad plays drum rolls in time.
- Release FX. End a song in style with Echo out, Reverb out, Filter out or Loop out.
- Sampler. Eight pads with air horn, siren, riser and more. Load your own sounds with a right-click.
- Stems. Turn the vocals, the melody or the bass and drums of any song on and off. Remove the vocals for an instant instrumental, or keep only the beat for a smooth blend. Better stems split each song in the background, in seconds.
Press an effect once to start it and again to stop it. The FX button hides the whole rack when you want a clean screen.
Ready for real gear, real gigs and live streams
When you are ready to go beyond the mouse, the console grows with you.
- DJ controllers. Plug in a controller by USB and play with real jog wheels, faders and knobs. Ready mappings are included for popular models such as the Pioneer DDJ-200, DDJ-400 and DDJ-FLX4, the Numark Party Mix and Mixtrack, and the Hercules DJControl Inpulse range. Any other MIDI controller can be mapped in a minute: click a control on the screen, then move it on the controller.
- Headphone cueing. Pre-listen to the next song in your headphones while the crowd hears the mix. Use a second sound card, or a simple split cable with one output.
- Microphone. Talk to the crowd through a headset, USB or laptop mic. Your voice goes to the speakers and the recording, never back into your headphones. Talkover lowers the music while you speak.
- Recording. Record your whole set as WAV or MP3, effects and voice included, ready to share.
- Live streaming. Start a live session and a tracklist is written for you, with the time of every song. A clean stream screen is ready to capture in OBS or TikTok LIVE Studio for YouTube, Twitch, Facebook or TikTok.
Why it is worth it
The biggest benefit is simple: you spend your time mixing, not installing. That changes a lot, for beginners and experienced DJs alike.
- Start in seconds. No download, no drivers for most controllers, no licence keys to manage. Open the page on Windows or Mac and play.
- Works offline. Install it as an app from Chrome or Edge. It opens from your desktop, and the songs you have loaded once play even without internet.
- Private by design. Songs from your own computer are never uploaded. Songs you bought are saved on your device in encrypted form, so they load instantly and play only in the console.
- Light on your computer. Heavy work, such as song analysis and stem separation, runs in the background, so the deck on air keeps playing smoothly while you load the next one.
- Easy to learn. A quick tour shows the main controls the first time you open it. A full manual covers every button, and your last session can be restored after a crash.
- Grows with you. Start with the mouse and keyboard. Add headphones, then a controller, then a mic and a live stream, all in the same console.
It suits bedroom DJs learning to beatmatch, mobile DJs who need a reliable backup, streamers who want a set on TikTok or YouTube tonight, and anyone who just wants to mix their favourite songs.
Your first mix in five steps
- Open the DJ Console in Chrome or Edge and follow the quick tour.
- Load a song on deck A and press Play.
- Load a second song on deck B and press SYNC.
- Listen to deck B in your headphones and set a cue point on the beat.
- Slide the crossfader from A to B, swapping the bass on the drop.
That is your first transition. Add an Echo out or a Scene FX build-up next time, and record the set to hear how far you have come.
